Pomegranate (Punica granatum) grows wild in India, China, Italy and North Africa. It used in India both as a tannin rich mordant and as a dye. It yields a matte green-yellow colour and rich blue greens when overdyed with indigo. Combine with logwood to produce dark olive greens.
50g Pomegranate will dye approximately 600g fibre to a dark shade.
